Augmented Reality in Education 2022: Educator and Parent Perspectives
Augmented reality (AR) offers new and exciting ways for learners to interact and engage with subject material. That’s why we wanted to understand how educators are using this technology in the classroom, how students are using it at home, and find answers to questions like “What are the top benefits of AR?†and “What are the top concerns?â€Â
To find those answers, we worked with Hanover Research to survey teachers, administrators, and parents. Here’s what we learned.

Student engagement is the greatest benefit of using AR in education according to both educators (78%) and parents (59%).

Because AR does not need to be used with special glasses or headsets, educators report that in school students commonly use AR with their laptops (66%) and tablets (55%).
