As part of IMPACT Social Studies Digital Explorations, the Mount Vernon modules take students into the life of George Washington. Broken into grade level bands, students investigate an Essential Question, tied to the appropriate content at the grade level, and complete interactive activities and performance tasks. Using IMPACT’s three-step instructional model: Engage, Investigate and Report, teachers can easily implement appealing modules that can be taught in 15-20 fun lessons! The online teacher center offers a variety of tools for teachers to use to pull the modules into their instruction, including ePresentations, eText with planning guides and printable planning guides, videos to engage student learning and the ability for teachers to add their own resources. Other tools such as being able to assign modules, or parts of modules to students, edit content and run activity and standards performance reports are also available.
